We are looking for you,

Project Manager / Senior Project Manager

to Process Technology at Neste's Technology Center in Porvoo.

In this position, you will work in the Process Technology's Investment projects team. The team is responsible for executing the investments related to laboratory, test and piloting equipment in accordance with Neste's strategy.

As a project manager, you are responsible for the execution of laboratory, test and piloting equipment investments or existing equipment modification projects from the planning phase to implementation. In the assignment, you also get to participate in the design and development of test equipment.

When acting as Senior Project Manager, in addition to the project manager role, you act as the development manager of some investment projects, where you are responsible also for the progress of other projects beside those led by yourself, in accordance with the approved budget and schedule. In this case, you will also act as the chairman of the steering group for investment projects. Together with your expertise, we can do meaningful work to drive Neste forward.

The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. We organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas.

Your role in our team 
 

• Lead assigned investment projects to renew our R&D laboratories and test facilities according the investment guidelines and procedures
• Support subject matter experts in the R&D departments on scoping and defining the investments needs
• Conduct risk assessments and safety evaluations with respect of management of change procedures for implementing the investments
• Maintain good collaboration and networks with our service providers and vendors
• Provide "lessons learned" -sessions after the project completion
  
  

Keys to success in this role
 

• Appropriate engineering education, e.g., process or laboratory technology, process automation or information technology
• Previous experience in investment project management tasks is a benefit
• Knowledge of process industry equipment, and experience in equipment maintenance
• Dynamic, active and interactive approach
• Ability to work in an agile and changing project environment 
• Continual improvement mindset
• Fluent Finnish and English
• Responsible attitude with a safety-oriented mindset
  
  

We value previous experience with industrial R&D and the experimental research environment. Knowledge on electrical systems/process automation, commissioning tasks and system maintenance, as well as data management and cyber security knowledge is considered an advantage.
