Solution Manager, Engineering System

to our Engineering Development team in Porvoo, Finland.

The Solution Manager is responsible for system reliability, maintenance and development. The selected person acts as the single point of contact in all development, maintenance, efficiency and documentation.

 

The target for the Solutions Manager role is to develop project(s) information flow, change management and the transparency of engineering work. The solution is Aveva Engineering that requires administrative and maintenance tasks that will support the updates done for the engineering work processes.

The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. We organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas. Generally, work will need more presence at the office and partially remote working is possible.

Your main role in creating a sustainable future

  • End-to-End accountability for solution delivery and success including planning, roadmapping, development, maintenance & continuous efficiency improvement

  • Ensures that the solution brings value to business and promotes user satisfaction

  • Responsible for solution governance with Business, IT and partners

  • Leads the partner ecosystem and drives partner success with good collaboration

  • Ensures compliance regarding licenses, audits, security and other compliance items

  • Provides in depth understanding in own solution area on business processes, application functionality and respective dataflows

  • Ensures correctness of the Solution knowledge base to secure high quality user support

  • Ensure effectiveness and continual improvement

  • Act as Project Manager on system development projects
     

You will engage in active communication with various project stakeholders and collaborate with engineering disciplines, Digitalization, IT functions, vendor as well as business area management. You will report to the Manager of Engineering Management.

Keys to success in this role

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of Engineering, IT Information Technology, Computer Engineering or similar.

  • Prior working experience in the area of Plant Engineering and/or EPC projects is a clear advantage

  • Prior knowledge on database solutions (like SQL), programming languages (like C#), Windows server configuration, Citrix environments and tools development is considered as an advantage

  • Quick learner of new technologies with strong organizational skills.

  • The knowledge of various engineering tools, agile way or working, and lean ideology

  • Cooperative working style with positive attitude and ability to work parallel with several assignments

  • Good spoken and written skills in English

  • Responsible attitude and safety-oriented mindset
