We are looking for you, 

Summer Trainee, Project Manager

to our Asset Digital Value Management team in Turku or Porvoo. We are a team of six professionals dedicated to portfolio, project and service management. Production Digital Solutions department is driving industrial process digitalization to Neste's assets by developing, applying and maintaining the use of digital solutions.

Your role during the summer

You will support your team and get the opportunity to deepen your own expertise in Project Management, planning and reporting. 

As a Summer Trainee, Project Manager you work together with our experienced project managers on interesting production digitalization projects in close collaboration with all Neste refineries.

In this role you will:

•    Have a unique opportunity to develop your Project management expertise with help of your highly experienced teammates
•    Have an opportunity to participate in the development of project planning and reporting tools
•    Contribute to cost and project schedule follow-up and control
•    Learn how to do project and progress reporting
•    Improve our projects’ documentation practices and help to reorganize our information systems
•    Substitute your new teammates during the summer vacation period

The best combination to succeed in this role

• You are currently studying or have studied Economics and Business Administration, Information Systems science, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a similar, relevant field
• Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English
• Motivation to learn and deepen your knowledge in Project management, project investment planning and project reporting
• Some experience of IT type of projects is appreciated
• We also value earlier work experience in process industry but it is not mandatory

In the case of Kilpilahti/Porvoo as a job location (which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki). On weekdays, we organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas. More information here. 

The position follows the collective agreement for senior salaried employees. If you are in the early stages of your studies, the minimum starting salary is 2300 EUR. Your salary will also depend on relevant work experience and, for students, the number of completed course credits.  We welcome applications from both current students and those who have graduated in 2024. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment. The summer job typically takes place between May 1 and September 30, 2025.
