Summer trainee, Project Procurement

to our Purchasing & Expediting team in Porvoo. We are a team of 30+ professionals dedicated to performing all purchasing and expediting related tasks in investment projects globally.

Your role during the summer

You will support your team in various tasks and get the opportunity to deepen your own expertise in project procurement purchasing and expediting activities.

Typical tasks of the Summer Trainee in Project Procurement includes:

• Preparation and issue of requests for quotation (RFQ)

• Expediting of RFQ process

• RFQ clarifications

• Commercial bid evaluations

• Preparation and issue of purchase orders and/or contracts

• Handling vendor documentation and coordinate reviews

• Expediting purchase orders

• Invoice verifications

• Close-out activities and archiving of purchase orders and/or contracts

• Support team by monitoring and improving system data quality

• Final stages of your studies in commercial or technical area or similar

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Motivation to learn and deepen your knowledge

• Systematic, flexible and responsible way of working

• We highly appreciate earlier work experience in procurement (sourcing, purchasing or expediting)

• We also value Finnish language skills

The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. Currently we work regularly at least three days a week at the office to ensure seamless collaboration and sense of belonging. On weekdays, we organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas. More information here. 

The position follows the collective agreement for senior salaried employees. If you are in the early stages of your studies, the minimum starting salary is 2350 EUR. Your salary will also depend on relevant work experience and, for students, the number of completed course credits. We welcome applications from both current students and those who have graduated after 1st January 2025. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment. The summer job typically takes place between May 1 and September 30, 2026.
