Turnaround (TA) Manager

We are currently looking for a 

Turnaround (TA) Manager

to lead Neste Porvoo refinery TA2026 as a member of our Major Projects unit in Finland.

Our TA team is responsible for planning, developing and executing complex major turnarounds at Neste Porvoo refinery. We work in close collaboration with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. 

The purpose of the TA Manager’s role is to continuously improve the TA performance, to safely execute the TA program within the approved premises, and to meet the business objectives. Your first dedicated project will be Porvoo 2026 major turnaround. Project planning is being kicked-off so you have a great opportunity to influence and lead the project from planning to execution. 

In this role you will report to the Head of Turnarounds. 

Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are

• Leading the major turnaround project and keeping all the project streams together: maintenance works, investment projects, infrastructure and enabling administration
• Defining and executing the long-term TA Strategy, in close cooperation with other relevant disciplines to meet the business objectives.
• Ensuring that the right competences and resources are available and developed as planned to be able execute the turnaround
• Building one cohesive TA team which cooperates effectively with other functions.
• Developing best-in-class TA practices
• Cooperating with Neste’s TA Center of Excellence (TACOE) to continuously improve Neste TA performance and sharing of best practices between Neste sites.

The best combination to success in this role

• Master’s or Bachelor’s level degree in engineering
• Solid experience in process industry and project management
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, leadership and planning skills
• Good IT skills
• Strong set of soft skills: Initiative, proactiveness, collaboration, influencing and stress tolerance
• Fluent spoken and written English. Other languages are considered as an advantage.

The recruitment process will include interviews and possible aptitude assessment. The first interviews are preliminarily scheduled to take place on week 13.

The person selected for the position must pass a health examination including a drug test. A security clearance is obtained with their consent.
