We are looking for you
Refinery Turnarounds Operations Manager
to join our OP Major Turnarounds team in Porvoo Refinery.
We have a motivated team of experts working in Major Turnarounds (TA). Our team is responsible for planning, developing turnaround process/practices and execution of Major Turnarounds in Porvoo refinery.
In this managerial position, you will be a member of the Major Turnarounds leadership team, reporting directly to the TA Owner. You will lead a team of 1–3 experts, adjusted according to the turnaround cycle. Your primary responsibility will be to develop our TA operations and planning practices to ensure safety and efficiency. The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. We organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas.
Your role in our team

TA leadership team responsibilities. i.e. Reporting TA Operations progress to TA Manager and Steering committee member (Porvoo Refinery GM).

Identifying development areas, analyzing current operations and lessons learned from previous turnarounds → establishing turnaround best practices.

External benchmarking and stakeholder collaboration.

Involving personnel in development, and the management and deployment of operations.

Defining common operating procedures across production lines.

Responsibility for start-up and shutdown (ramp-up/ramp-down) planning and execution activities and budget regarding the operational scope.

Ensuring operational expertise and active participation in turnaround investments.

Participating in the definition of the turnaround execution scope.

Work experience in process industry, turnarounds and handover/ commissioning processes

Proven competence of the refinery process and track record for leading operations

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to lead

Organizational and planning capabilities with the ability to see the big picture

Good IT skills

Positive and forward looking attitude

Being empathetic and taking others' perspectives into account
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering

Fluent spoken and written Finnish and an advanced level of English, other languages are considered as an advantage
