Neste Netherlands is part of the Finnish parent company Neste. The plant in Rotterdam produces renewable fuels. Together with 200 colleagues we are working everyday to operate, maintain, and improve the plant in an efficient and safe manner.
We are looking for an Authority Engineering Team Lead to join the technical department in Rotterdam (Maasvlakte).
Your part in Neste journey
As the Authority Engineering Team Lead you’re leading the team of Authority Engineers. The team is responsible to ensure compliant operations related to regulatory requirements, certifications of current installations/equipment and new projects. As the team lead you will ensure priorities are set, follow-up on assigned tasks,be the owner of the respective department work processes and develop the team and individual team members. You will also participate as a representative of the technical department with a mandate to decide and authorize.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Leading the team of Experts responsible for Authority Engineering with the main focus on Permitting, Authority Engineering and Quality assurance of existing assets as well as new projects;
- Co-create personal development plants with direct reports and follow-up by coaching;
- Prepare and develop quarterly/ yearly plans for the team and monitor progress;
- Identify competence development needs and develop yearly training plan by learning needs analyses;
- Develop work processes related to authority engineering and quality assurance in line with local, European legislation in line with corporate standards;
- Ensure the installation and assets are compliant (related to permitting, legislation as well as quality) at all times related to the local and european legislation;
- Ensure applicable certifications are timely validated, updated and approved by authorized body;
- Accountable to approve on behalf of technical department for assigned documents i.e. but not limited to project scope documents, risk assessments, (permit) applications.
Keys to success in this role
The best combination of experiences, skills and background is:
- Master degree in a relevant engineering discipline;
- 8+ years experience within a relevant workfield;
- Hands-on experience in the industry;
- Effective communication skills in English (mandatory) both verbally and in writing. Preferably command of the Dutch language;
- Experience in Renewable Processes is an advantage.
