We are looking for a Construction Team Leader to join our Neste Engineering Solutions Team.

You will focus on leading the team of construction managers, construction supervisors and work preparators to safe execution of projects.

In this job you will work closely with the Project Manager Office Leader, Engineering Manager and Project Procurement Manager as well as and the other team leaders. (Operations, Maintenance and Technical).

You will report to the Engineering Solutions Manager.

The geographical scope of the job will include our Neste Rotterdam Refinery (office location), Neste Pretreatment, Neste Sluiskil and Neste Rotterdam Terminal.

Your role in our team 

• As a member of the site engineering leadership team, together with your team, you are responsible to safely lead the execution of projects.
• Build a fit for purpose Construction Management Team to serve Neste projects in the Netherlands.
• Build a project team for success with defining the right execution and contracting strategy.
• You are a safety leader in the field.
• Lead and manage the performance and competence of team members.
• To conduct people processes efficiently and with high quality.
• To co-operate proactively to enable the successful flow of the project work.
• To develop processes, ways of working and tools globally together with colleagues in Finland and Singapore.
• To enable, promote and proactively support integration and cooperation of Engineering Solutions and Neste Renewable Products business units in all projects, work process, administrative and personnel related issues in the Netherlands.
• To continuously develop own expertise and invest time in developing and coaching others by making use of the Neste Leadership model.
• Align and Cooperate with the ES (Finland) Construction Management Leadership team.
• To support the Engineering Solutions Manager, PMO lead, engineering team lead and project procurement lead in executing projects according to the PIPE model and common way of working.

Keys to success in this role 

• MSc or BSc in Engineering or Similar
• 15+ Years of working experience.
• Effective communication skills in English (mandatory) both verbally and in writing. Preferably command of the Dutch language. Other language skills are an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work accurately, follow schedules/timelines and handle multiple priorities
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Aveva, ect.)
• Ability to effectively multi-task in an environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
• Problem solving capabilities
• Ownership, persistent and customer oriented.
