We are looking for you,
Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor
to join our Investment Project Execution & Governance (IPEG) team in Netherland (Rotterdam) and work in Neste’s investment projects.
In this role you will support the Construction Manager(s) in reaching the goals of one or more simultaneous projects in construction-related matters within your discipline. You will be responsible for the execution of the construction phase in tems of safety, quality, schedule, budget and relationship with the site organisation.

Your role in our team
- Contribute to the engineering process regarding technical solutions and perform site surveys for engineering optimization.
- Check engineering packages for completeness and feasibility through field checks, and advise the Engineering/Construction Manager on improvement.
- Verify engineering Material Take Offs (MTOs) against detailed drawings and check the completeness of ordered materials.
- Participate upon request in Constructability Reviews and Engineering Meetings.
- Maintain daily alignment with the discipline contractor(s) and provide daily field supervision regarding safety, quality, and coordination.
- Sign off contractor time registration sheets and review/accept extra or less work (meer/minder werk).
- Coordinate active projects with the Maintenance and Operations departments, as well as the Permit Issuer.
- Conduct safety rounds and log observations/reports directly into Synergi.
- Report unsafe situations in Synergi.
- Attend the contractor’s start-of-work meetings (startwerkbesprekingen) and guide contractors to ensure safe execution.
- Coordinate ongoing projects with Neste Inspection department or SPA’s regarding hold and witness points.
- Execute quality checks based on the Quality Control Plan (QCP) and sign off on hold and witness points.
- Perform scope checks and approvals for project handovers / the Mechanical Completion (MC) process.
- Gather red-pen as-built documentation packages, verify them, and hand them over to the Construction Manager.
- Walk through, log, and resolve punch list items.
- Write and own work permits for small external contractors.
- Coordinate, evaluate, and co-sign work permits for main contractors.
- Discuss and align work permits with the site Permit Issuer.
- Inventory, organize, and ensure signed Task Risk Analyses (TRAs) are secured.
- Prepare and attach all required supplementary documentation to work permits, including Road Closure forms, Excavation permits, Rescue plans (in cooperation with HSSEQ), TRAs, Blind lists/Spade lists (in cooperation with OPS), and LoTo lists (in cooperation with OPS).
- Maintain up-to-date project schedules and report progress in collaboration with the Project Scheduler.
- Attend Maintenance planning meetings to optimally align and integrate the following week's project scope.
- Coordinate material orders with the warehouse and oversee distribution to contractors.
- Generate picklists for material issuance from the warehouse.
- Monitor warehouse material release regarding quantity, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Order necessary materials not originally accounted for within the engineering packages.
- Order and coordinate third-party support services (e.g., cranes, fire guards, traffic controllers).

The best combination to succeed in this role

Secondary School level 4 (MBO) or equivalent combination of education and experience in Electrical and Instrumentation

Minimum 7 years of experience in the construction of process plants

Overall knowledge of multidisciplinary elements in construction

Strong communicator, strong stakeholder management skills

Fluent in Dutch & English
