Neste Netherlands is part of the Finnish parent company Neste. The plant in Rotterdam produces renewable fuels. Together with 200 colleagues we are working everyday to operate, maintain, and improve the plant in an efficient and safe manner.
We are looking for a Materials and Corrosion Engineer to join our team in Rotterdam.
The Materials and Corrosion Engineer is part of the Maintenance department. The overall responsibility of the department is to maintain the plant and the supporting facilities according legal and industry standards in a cost efficient manner.
Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are:
- Mechanical equipment condition monitoring in close coordination with the inspection department.
- Providing solutions for improvements and/or repairs.
- Providing corrosion expertise in RBI where necessary.
- Support and lead integrity programs.
- Support/update mechanical preventative maintenance programs together with the Reliability Engineer.
- Assists and leads RCA in the relevant discipline.
- Provide metallurgical and corrosion expertise to the RP reliability and maintenance organization(s).
- Providing support and/or create repair plans.
- Initiate and provide support for MOC’s.
- Support audits of relevant manufacturers.
- Provide relevant training to the inspectors and Reliability Engineers.
- Act as site person and provide input to the effective material selection of the company engineering projects during the design phase and providing assurance that the selected materials are in line with the company/international standards and specifications.
- Participate in the company’s WS specification group to review, update and develop new material specifications/standards.
You will work closely with and report to the Maintenance & Reliability Supervisor.
The best combination to success in this role:
- At least HBO level of working and thinking.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of related maintenance and engineering disciplines.
- Expert knowledge of materials and corrosion mechanisms.
- Root cause analysis skills.
