Do you have a background in Chemical Engineering and are you looking to apply your expertise in a different way? 

As a Production Planner at Neste, you work at the intersection of technology, data and operations, contributing to the optimization of production processes across a European refinery network. You translate technical insights into practical planning decisions that directly impact efficiency, sustainability and output. 

Prior experience in production planning is not required. A solid chemical engineering foundation and an analytical mindset are key.

More about the job

You will work closely with the Shipping, Operations and the Espoo planning teams. Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are:

 

  • Scheduling production for the Rotterdam refineries

  • Facilitation of quality or capacity related test runs

  • Optimising feedstock blends and production volumes for maximum profitability

  • Steering of monthly volumes and quality for incoming feedstocks, intermediate products and product streams.

  • Supporting in solving complex supply chain issues within the Europe network of refineries

  • Managing inventories to ensure reliable production schedules

 

 

Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (required)

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a technical environment or refinery setting, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry

  • Full professional proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus

 

  • Passion for clean energy and sustainability

  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset

  • Proactive self-starter with a high sense of ownership and accountability

  • Analytical and solution-oriented, with the ability to work on complex challenges
