We are looking for a Purchaser - Technical Services to join our Procurement team Central Europe.
 

 

We have a small team of experts working out of Rotterdam and Hoofddorp. Our team is responsible for the Procurement of Indirect products and services, which includes Technical, Utilities, Logistics, Chemical, Professional Services and ICT.  Our mission is to improve the competitiveness of Neste through operational excellence, contribute to the profitability and growth as well as innovation project outcomes jointly with our stakeholders and suppliers. We ensure safety, availability, quality, total cost of ownership, sustainability, security and compliance are delivered.

 

Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are

 

  • Prepare and issue requests for quotation (RFQ) for both long term contracts and single purchases 

  • Perform commercial bid evaluations

  • Perform negotiations with suppliers

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and/or contracts

  • Accountable for expediting of goods and services ordered

  • Participate in final settlement of accounts

  • Closely work together with procurement counterparts abroad

  • Assist in developing the procurement processes, implementation of new tools and ways of working in procurement

  • Any other tasks assigned by the Manager from time to time

 

You will work closely with our global procurement team and technical experts in different parts of the organization to ensure best possible contracts for the Technical Materials/Services Category. Our work combines accountability, cooperation, and the desire to develop and renew. Working safely at all times is essential to all of us.


 

The best combination to success in this role

 

  • Minimum 3 years working purchasing experience 

  • Previous working experience in industrial environment

  • Knowledge of commercial contract terms and conditions

  • Good negotiation and interpersonal skills

  • Systematic way of working, exactness, flexibility and responsibility

  • Knowledge of purchasing tools and systems such as Coupa and SAP

  • Ability to communicate in English and Dutch in a clear and professional manner

  • Ability to work with various other functions in different locations

  • Flexibility, although we support a hybrid way of working, which includes working from home, we expect our team members to work at our refinery at the Maasvlakte as needed, approximately 3-4 days per week.
