Refinery Financial Controller
to our Regional Finance team at Rotterdam Maasvlakte.

Financial Closing & Governance: oversees and takes part in the execution of the financial closing processes for Rotterdam refinery , ensuring strict compliance with Group Finance timelines and maintaining the integrity of the P&L and Balance Sheet and be in charge of the cash pool position.

Technical Accounting & Compliance: manages granular accruals, provisions, and ledger reconciliations while ensuring all manual vouchers and entries are supported by auditable documentation in systems

Safeguarding the financial and project administration and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations

Report and act as the right hand of the Finance Manager

Support Business Finance team on accounting related matters

Proactively identify opportunities for automation and digitalization

Optimizing financial processes and internal controls (from Purchase to Pay)

Support with ad-hoc reports and inquiries
Key requirements:
-
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics or Accounting

Understanding of IFRS and local GAAP
-
Understanding of the local statutory and regulatory requirements

Good understanding of Finance E2E processes & relevant technologies e.g., SAP (FI-CO, SD, MM), SAP Business Objects, Hyperion Planning, Anaplan

Strong analytical skills
-
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders

Fluent written and spoken in English, Dutch preferred

You are a self starter, with a strong hands on and proactive mentality. You take ownership, you are resilient and you have a safety-oriented mindset.
