Neste Netherlands is part of the Finnish parent company Neste. The plant in Rotterdam produces renewable fuels. Together with 200 colleagues we are working everyday to operate, maintain, and improve the plant in an efficient and safe manner.
We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to join the Maintenance Department in Rotterdam (Maasvlakte).
Your part in Neste journey
The overall responsibility of the department is to maintain the plant and the supporting facilities according to legal and industry standards in a cost efficient manner. Your responsibility as a Reliability Engineer is to optimise maintenance strategies to assure Minimum Long Term Cost of Neste owned assets.
Other main responsibilities are:
- Monitoring the equipment performance of the different production units and reviews/updates preventive maintenance plans ensuring safety, legal compliance and their efficiency in line with overall business strategy.
- Setup and implement a preventive maintenance philosophy (legal, safety, cost related, availability), use tools such as FMEA and in the future programs like RCM and RBI
- Setup and implement a spare part philosophy
- Inputs for monitoring are amongst others legal inspection results, measured parameters, condition of the equipment and corrective work orders.
- Initiate and support improvement of maintenance strategies, technologies and activities
- Translates global Renewable Production reliability strategy in local practice & procedures
- Develop risk based and cost efficient preventative maintenance plans
- Analysis of failures from maintenance management system
- Lead event investigations to determine a root cause analysis
- Bad actor program follow-up
- Assist and lead RCA regarding equipment performance failures
- Participates in project teams and leads local MOC’s
- Proposes and initiated plant and equipment improvements
- Evaluate plant and equipment improvements after installation
- Review and initiate other technical improvements
Keys to success in this role
The best combination of experiences, skills and background is
- Bachelor Mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of related maintenance and engineering disciplines
We also value
- Knowledge in areas of: root cause analysis skills, management of change, familiarity with preventive maintenance practises and bad actor analysis.
- Recognising important information, linking data, devising alternative solutions and indicating the consequences.
- Being a teamplayer; Working with others towards a common goal.
- Strong communication skills
