Neste Netherlands is part of the Finnish parent company Neste. The plant in Rotterdam produces renewable fuels. Together with 150 colleagues we are working everyday to operate, maintain, and improve the plant in an efficient and safe manner. 

 

We are looking for a Buyer Technical Services to join the Engineering Projects department in Rotterdam (Maasvlakte).

 

Your part in Neste journey 

 

In your role as a Senior Buyer of Technical Services, you will be responsible for a wide range of goods and service procurement for Neste’s businesses, operations, refineries, and investment projects within the Netherlands. 

 

Other main responsibilities are:

  • Preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQ) for both long term contracts and single purchases related to investment projects specifically for Technical Service providers 
  • Procuring services against best possible value from the market, while complying to technical specifications and project lead times. 
  • Performing commercial bid evaluations
  • Performing negotiations with suppliers
  • Preparing and issuing purchase orders and/or contracts
  • Participation in final settlement of accounts
  • Closely working together with procurement counterparts abroad to align strategies on a global level
  • Assisting in developing the procurement processes, implementation of new tools and ways of working in local project procurement


You will report to the Engineering Solutions Manager and will work closely with the Project Procurement Manager, Projectmanagers, Engineers and your counterparts in Finland.

Keys to success in this role

 

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is:

  • At least an HBO/Bachelor education in commercial and/or technical discipline or 7+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in procurement of industrial or construction services and contracting.
  • Previous working experience in industrial investment projects.
  • Knowledge of commercial contract terms and conditions.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Dutch in a clear and professional manner.
