To join the Renewable Products Refining Technical department in Rotterdam (Maasvlakte).

As a Senior Process Engineer you will report to the Process Engineering Supervisor and work closely with the other Process Engineers within the team. You will also work closely with the Operations and Maintenance departments. As a Senior Process Engineer you will be responsible for an assigned area of the Refinery Operations. You will be focusing on the mid to long term unit operations (7 days to 1 year) and are the first line of support to Operations with day to day unit monitoring to ensure compliant, safe, reliable and efficient operations.
Main tasks and responsibilities

Technical expert of technology assigned unit;

Identify deviations and provide pragmatic solutions in line with guidelines;

Ensure to operate assigned unit within environmental boundaries;

Unit performance monitoring related to compliance and process safety;

Unit performance monitoring related to efficiency (i.e. energy, variable costs and OEE);

Initiate and develop improvement ideas in a systematic manner;

Shut-down/Start-up support during planned and unplanned events;

Reviewer of operational shut-down/ start-up instructions.
Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

Bachelor or Master degree in chemical engineering is a requirement;
-
You are an experienced Process Engineer with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in petrochemical and/or industrial production;

Experience with commissioning and start up of a new refinery is a strong preference;
-
You are currently based in the Netherlands and are authorized to work in the Netherlands without requiring visa sponsorship.
