Neste Netherlands is part of the Finnish parent company Neste. The plant in Rotterdam produces renewable fuels. Together with 200 colleagues we are working everyday to operate, maintain, and improve the plant in an efficient and safe manner.
We are looking for a Shift Superintendent Logistics to join our Renewable Production team in Rotterdam.
The Shift Superintendent Logistics OSBL is a day time position and reports to the Operations Manager. The role provides leadership to the 24/7 logistics organisation and logistic truck unloading organisation. The Shift Superintendent leads a team of 5 shift supervisors to ensure safe, compliant, reliable and efficient operations of Neste Maasvlakte integrated logistics and OSBL complex.
Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are
- Ensuring safe and compliant operations at 3 locations Maasvlakte, MNA and NEPR - zero accidents and driving safety culture in the teams.
- Reliable operation to ensure business targets in cooperation with maintenance peers.
- Efficient plant operation - ensuring monitoring of logistics performance and corrective measures when required.
- Leading team of 5 shift supervisors according to Neste values and Neste leadership principles.
- Accountable for minimum competent shift manning for safe logistic operation and competency development in general within operations.
- Accountable for personal development of the individual team members and leadership development of the team in general.
- Prioritisation of the departmental activities according to agreed site priorities.
- Champion of change - leading by example and unlocking potential.
- Ensuring follow-up of forward/pulse surveys within the teams driving for high engagement and safety culture in the department.
- Implementing learnings from for example incidents/Root Cause Analysis.
- Improving logistics work processes and keeping logistics operations related controlled documents up to date in NMS.
- First point of contact for the maintenance superintendent ensuring alignment for maintenance execution works of the logistics infrastructure.
- Responsible for contacts with 3rd party suppliers if needed (operational related).
- Accountable with peers of other departments to ensure alignment related for work practises and procedures.
- Accountable for alignment with SCM regarding logistics and supply chain production planning goals in line with site capabilities and maintenance plans.
The best combination to success in this role
- Bachelor or university degree in Chemical engineering
- Minimum 10+ years experience in the Petrochemical industry from which a minimum of 3 – 5 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
