Neste Netherlands is part of the Finnish parent company Neste. The plant in Rotterdam produces renewable fuels. Together with 200 colleagues we are working everyday to operate, maintain, and improve the plant in an efficient and safe manner.

We are looking for a Turnaround QA/QC Lead to join our Maintenance team in Rotterdam. Reporting to the Shutdown Manager the Turnaround QA/QC Lead will be responsible for effectively and efficiently coordination of the turnarounds quality control discipline.

 

Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are:

  • Document turnaround Quality management process. Train key contributors from Operations, Technical, Maintenance, etc. on their roles and expectations in Quality management from work identification, collection until Turnaround execution finalisation and handover. 

  • Lead & complete QA/QC management scope review and risk assessment processes.

  • Support turnaround work planning activities with Quality assurance and control steps, quality requirements, identifying necessary elements of planning, data transfer method to and from contractors, etc. Conduct and complete detailed quality management incorporating all operations, maintenance, investment projects and HSE activities. Oversee overall planning quality and execute planning plan-to-plan.

  • Resource, provide costs estimates and recommend QA management resource requirements to Turnaround team.

  • Define and document quality requirements for work packs preparation guidelines (i.e. minimum content, quality expectations, review and approval process, distributions and planning status reporting metrics, etc.)

  • Build and manage QA process together with EXP QC organisation and utilisation in co-operation with TechnipFMC QA/QC procedures and tools

  • Tie hold points to inspection, QA/QC, PSSR and MOC activities.

  • Coordinate with the all relevant stakeholders to establish Quality assurance and control procedures and practices for Operations, Maintenance and Investment projects (including Expansion) works.

  • Collaborate with Procurement and Execution Coordinators, provide supports in contracting strategy, bidding process (i.e. package preparations, bid requests and reviews, etc. Participate in contractors’ mobilisation planning.

  • Report quality management status, to Turnaround Team on a regular basis.

  • Member of Turnaround Core Team, consisting of Maintenance, Investment projects, Safety, Procurement, Finance, Planning and scheduling etc functions.

 

The best combination to success in this role:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification

  • Minimum 5 - 10 years in process plant turnaround and maintenance activities, specifically in turnaround planning and scheduling.

  • Knowledge of process plant production and maintenance, including contractors supervision & management

  • Experience of process plant turnaround execution and management, including contracting, safety & quality management. Familiar with turnaround phases, from initial long range planning through to post-turnaround review.

  • Project management knowledge, particularly in quick-paced, high intensity and time constrained turnaround environments.

  • Familiar with contracts, supply agreements, terms & conditions, able to work & collaborate effectively with contractors, suppliers, vendors and partners.

  • Excellent people and communication skills and able to organise, deploy and manage resources effectively.

  • Ability to promote teamwork and possess interpersonal effectiveness. A good team player, builds effective cooperation and trustful culture, seek all collaboration opportunities.

  • Possess strong situational appraisal skills, able to prioritise actions with alignment to company values and goals and having sense of urgency.

  • Strong work ethic with positive attitude and ability to make timely decision through good analytical process & problem solving.
