Neste Netherlands is part of the Finnish parent company Neste. The plant in Rotterdam produces renewable fuels. Together with 200 colleagues we are working everyday to operate, maintain, and improve the plant in an efficient and safe manner.
 

We are looking for a Turnaround Mechanical Planner to join our Maintenance team

 

You will report to Turnaround Lead planner and you are responsible for effectively and efficient planning of work scope, creating workpacks, resourcing for turnarounds and unit shutdowns. supports turnarounds planning is being optimized and fully integrated into the schedule to achieve key deliverables .

 

In your role, you will

 

  • Document turnaround scope collection process. Train key contributors from Operations, Technical, Maintenance, etc. on their roles and expectations in scope identification, collection till scope freeze. implement outcome from scope reviews and risk assessments.

  • Gather backlogged work orders designated for turnarounds from CMMS during turnaround scope collections.

  • Develop and document planning basis document to outline assumptions, quality requirements, necessary elements of planning, data transfer method to scheduling tool, etc. Conduct and complete detailed planning incorporating all operations, maintenance, investment projects and HSE activities. Oversee overall planning quality and execute planning plan-to-plan.

  • Resource, provide costs estimates and recommend resource requirements to Turnaround Lead.

  • Produce and document work packs  (i.e. minimal content, quality expectations, review and approval process, distributions and planning status reporting metrics, etc.)

  • Contribute to the scope change and approval process. Incorporate scope changes into work packs.

  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical maintenance and repair processes.

  • Participate in constructability reviews, critical path analysis, planning and schedule optimization reviews. Ensure all maintenance, investment projects & operations activities are fully integrated and optimized.

  • Tie hold points to inspection, QA/QC, PSSR and MOC activities.

  • Coordinate with Turnaround Lead to determine daily schedule reporting needs

  • Coordinate with the Operations to establish system handover work planning and Operations resources need.

  • Collaborates with Procurement and Execution Coordinators, provide supports in contracting strategy, bidding process (i.e. package preparations, bid requests and reviews, etc. Participate in contractors’ mobilization planning.

 

 

You will work closely with various internal stakeholders in Rotterdam and other Neste sites and also external stakeholders including suppliers and experts to ensure turnarounds planning and schedule are optimum and fully integrated to achieve key deliverables. Our work combines accountability, cooperation, and the desire to develop and renew. Keys to success in this pioneering role

 

  • Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification

  • Minimum 5 - 10 years in process plant turnaround and maintenance activities, specifically in turnaround planning and scheduling.

  • Knowledge of process plant production and maintenance, including contractors supervision & management

  • Knowledge of process plant turnaround execution and management, including contracting, safety & quality management. Familiar with turnaround phases, from initial long range planning through to post-turnaround review.

  • Project management knowledge, particularly in quick-paced, high intensity and time constrained turnaround environments. Experienced turnaround planner , strong in following tools – SAP, Roser. ERP and electronic document systems. P&ID’s

  • Familiar with contracts, supply agreements, terms & conditions, able to work & collaborate effectively with contractors, suppliers, vendors and partners.

  • Excellent people and communication skills and able to organize, deploy and manage resources effectively.

  • Ability to promote teamwork and possess interpersonal effectiveness. A good team player, builds effective cooperation and trustful culture, seek all collaboration opportunities.

  • Possess strong situational appraisal skills, able to prioritize actions with alignment to company values and goals and having sense of urgency.

  • Ability to coordinate and integrate varied activities with differing focus or objectives effectively in order to achieve common turnaround priorities and goals.

  • Strong work ethic with positive attitude and ability to make timely decision through good analytical process & problem solving.
