We are looking for you,

Category Specialist, Technical Equipment & Materials

 

to our Procurement team in Tuas South, Singapore.

 

You will support end-to-end category management within Technical Equipment & Materials, consisting of the whole variety of the different types of equipment and materials that are needed in refineries and terminals. In this job you will work closely with Neste colleagues such as Category Leads, Maintenance, Investment Projects, Legal Counsels and Operations representatives globally.

In our team, you will collaborate on strategic sourcing initiatives, drive supplier performance, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our Technical Equipment and Materials procurement processes. Your role

  • Market Analysis: Analyze technical equipment and materials markets relevant to our core spend categories.

  • Supplier Analysis: Evaluate specific companies within these markets, conducting tailored analyses to understand sourcing alternatives, supplier profiles, cost structures, and offerings.

  • Spend Analytics: Perform historical and predictive spend analysis to identify savings opportunities and develop improvement strategies.

  • Negotiate, draft and review Technical Services contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, service levels, and risk mitigation

  • Contract and Pricing Management: Maintain up-to-date category contracts and pricing, develop automation where possible. 

  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Support: Contribute to SRM activities by providing data on supplier supply, quality, and cost performance. Ensure supply continuity with appropriate quality and pricing, including managing supplier claims.

  • Strategic Sourcing Participation: Engage together with the category leads in strategic sourcing initiatives, savings projects, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management, as well as related reporting.

  • Stakeholder and Supplier Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders jointly with category leads, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement.

The best combination to succeed in this role

  • Analytical and Financial Capabilities: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data modeling, and a solid understanding of basic financial analysis.

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business.

  • Relevant Work Experience: Proven experience in roles related to equipment and/or materials or procurement.

  • Technical Equipment & Materials Market Knowledge: Understanding of current equipment and materials market trends and technologies.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and preferably the local language of the hiring location.
