We are looking for you,
Development Engineer, Feedstock and Pretreatment (F&P)
to provide technical expertise and support our production, projects and business on wastewater treatment related activities. The role is located in Neste APAC Innovation Center Singapore.
We are seeking a highly motivated and capable person to strengthen the wastewater treatment technical expertise in APAC Innovation Center complementing our existing global engineering and unit operations teams. You are a key link between Technology & Innovation and production organization in Singapore and external collaborators.

In your role, you will

Manage and participate in technology development and expert support projects related to wastewater treatment in renewable process technology
- Support production operation, site test runs and turnarounds

Plan, initiate and draw conclusions of laboratory analyses

Collaborate closely with business organizations, project teams, engineering and external partners to offer technical expertise

Participate actively in task forces and cross-functional teams in global technology development set-up

Gain a comprehensive understanding of the renewable products supply and production processes and their effect on wastewater quality and treatment needs through your involvement in a wide range of initiatives

Impact the long term strategy for sustainable solutions especially related to wastewater treatment
You will work in cross-functional teams with e.g. line managers and project managers as well as stakeholders in e.g. supply and production, and also with external partners. Our work combines accountability, cooperation, and the desire to develop and renew. Working safely at all times is essential to all of us. You will report to the R&D Manager, Feedstock and Pretreatment of APAC Innovation center.
Keys to success in this role

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in relevant field, e.g. chemical, process or environmental engineering

3-5 years experience of wastewater treatment in operation, process design or R&D, preferably in the field of oil refining or chemical industry

Knowledge of analytical techniques relevant to wastewater treatment process monitoring

Solid knowledge of wastewater treatment processes (e.g. deoiling, biological treatment, polishing) and unit operations

Ability to influence in a global matrix organization

Knowledge of renewable fuel processes (pretreatment, hydroprocessing) and unit operations

Experience of local legislation related to wastewater treatment
