Electrical & Instrument Specialist

 

to our Asset Management Team in Singapore Refinery.

 

You will focus on supporting Electrical and Instrumentation engineers to drive programs to improve electrical and instrumentation equipment safety and reliability performance.  In this job you will work closely with Asset Management Team, Area Maintenance Team and Operations Day and Shift Teams

 

In our team, you will be the bridge between the asset management team with other functions within the refinery to oversee implementation of reliability programs and support to drive continuous improvement of the programs’ effectiveness to achieve optimum equipment reliability / availability.  You will also have the opportunities to support projects, equipment modifications and turnaround activities in this role. Your role in our team / in creating a sustainable future

 

  • To be the bridge between Asset Management and Area Maintenance teams and to support Electrical & Instrument Engineers in managing electrical and instrumentation day to day troubleshooting activities, overseeing reliability maintenance programs, managing projects and SD activities.  

  • Supports implementation and executes Maintenance work processes and supports delivery of the site’s reliability culture.  Raise reliability issues affecting safety, quality, availability or capacity; analyze and recommend actions. 

  • Continuously monitor the effectiveness of the preventive monitoring programs

  • This position provides necessary and essential support to the refinery’s Asset Management framework to obtain optimal availability and utilization of process instrumentation and electrical equipment    

  • Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of maintenance and reliability activities related to electrical and instrumentation equipment and systems to ensure safe & reliable operations, and identify areas for improvement.

  • Support in pre startup safety reviews (PSSR), ready for start up reviews (RFSU) assessments

  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) investigation focusing on improving safety, reliability, asset utilization and production efficiency.

  • Oversee the execution of MOC to improve electrical and instrumentation equipment and systems and ensure compliance to the MOC, PHA and PSSR processes

 

Keys to success in this role 

 

  • Minimum a diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering 
  • At least 7 years of experience in the Oil, Gas or Petrochemical Industry as an E&I Supervisor / Specialist / Senior Technician supporting operation and maintenance of a process plant.
