We are looking for you,

 

Feedstock Analyst

 

to our Global Optimization and Trading team in Singapore.

 

You will focus on developing and maintaining robust analysis tools and providing short and mid term market analysis that supports Global feedstock leads in their decision making and trading book management. In this job you will work closely with Global feedstock leads, Sourcing managers,  Market intelligence and Middle office.

In our team, you will join a group of six biofuel feedstock professionals located in Switzerland, Netherlands and Singapore. Your main focus will be on vegoils and advanced waste and residue markets. Together with your expertise, we can do meaningful work to drive Neste forward.

Your role in our team

  • Develop and maintain market analysis tools and models
  • Provide market and price analysis, focusing on vegoils and advanced waste and residue markets 
  • Support global feedstock lead through analysis
  • Track and monitor global feedstock flows, arbitrages, S&D etc.
  • Generate and gather feedstock market intelligence that can be channelled to the business
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an efficient and timely flow of information


Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

 

  • Bachelor degree in economics, finance, mathematics or engineering (Masters preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in biofuels industry, commodities or energy 
  • Previous experience as market analyst in any other relevant industry
  • Advanced Excel skills and robust analytical skills mandatory
  • Experience in models development, programming (e.g. VBA, Python, JAVA) and maintenance of database
  • Proactive innovative attitude
  • Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail, focus on accuracy of information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment is beneficial
  • Responsible attitude and safety-oriented mindset
