We are looking for a Maintenance Excellence Engineer to join our Maintenance team in Singapore.

Your main responsibilities include

 

  • Accountable in the development, implementation and management of the Maintenance Excellence Management Framework from corporate guidelines in maintenance.

 

  • Responsible for developing the site Maintenance Excellence strategy maintenance document on the use of continuous improvement processes and technologies. Ensuring a well-defined and documented process and procedures are in place describing how programs with the maintenance are implemented using latest industry best practices to improve ways of working.  Responsible for the implementation and roll out of Best Practices, standardisation of work processes to drive the continuous improvement within the site and globally. Action items are tracked & effectiveness of recommendations are monitored.

 

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the Maintenance Excellence strategies, facilitation of the operational process improvement together with stakeholders which includes but not limited to Operation Excellence manager, Operations department, Maintenance and Asset Management teams. 

 

  • Responsible for applying a proactive set of tools and methods such as LEAN, waste elimination , 6 sigma that support business improvement, enabling better optimization and resource allocation decisions by creating a common understanding of business performance. To identify primary contributors to improve ways of working, used whenever a specific target is defined for business needs. Focuses on addressing the multiple interfaces to inefficiency and ineffectiveness. Seeking clarity in the ways of working.

 

  • Responsible for facilitating the  process for ranking the Maintenance Excellence initiatives based on environmental ,safety and economical, cost impact which is used to define resources for improvement plans. Improve transparency, efficiency and effectiveness of decision making. Develop the ways of working and the supporting tools across the Maintenance organisation to improve transparency, efficiency and effectiveness of decision making, processes and workflow. Lead and manage Operational Excellence Process & Portfolio and Tool related performance monitoring.

 

  • Responsible for leading the Maintenance Excellence improvement strategies using the defined site process is in place for evaluating process simplification. Investment options are pursued and evaluated for strategic decisions which will feed into projects and improvements actions.

 

  • Responsible for developing and promoting new Maintenance Excellence strategies and are understood by the appropriate stakeholders of the organisation through engagement and training.

 

  • Responsible for the generation and use of Maintenance Excellence business process metrics using PowerBI and developing other digital tools with close collabore with the digital and IT team, which will enable a greater understanding of Maintenance Excellence  performance and enable sustainable growth. Improving the communication and transparency of the sources of business performance, at all levels of the organisation. Driving an effective use of the metrics through strong collaboration with the working teams accountable for the metrics themselves.

 

  • Training and coaching of local Lean Six Sigma Green Belts with the support of Centre of Excellence. Responsible for the use of Project planning techniques such as the site's Step  to Milestones approach, Toll gate reviews, Stage Gate reviews etc. within the  context of the local Management Control and Reporting system and benefit  process tracking and project tracking systems;

 

  • Drive development of Operational Excellence capabilities, culture and mindset for the Maintenance organisation. Operational Excellence in the minds of everyone in the same way as safety is today.

 

  • Act as a Change agent for the organisation, and familiarity with change management tools

 

 Keys to success in this role

 

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is

 

  • Degree in engineering or equivalent
  • At least 10 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas manufacturing, refinery and petrochemical in the same  position
  • Experience with proven application in OE analysis tools. such as Lean, 6 Sigma, Waste Elimination, Productivity
  • Knowledge on IT, computer maintenance management systems
  • Knowledgeable with international standards, petroleum /petrochemical plant materials and equipment.
  • Good communication with strategic thinking, negotiation and business sense
  • Leadership qualities with good interpersonal people management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively influence, consult, and coach others to action
  • Experience in effective maintenance processes and driving maintenance excellence
