We are looking for you,
Master Trainer (Field – PTU/WWT)
to our Competence Development team in Tuas location etc.
You will focus on developing, delivering, and continuously improving operational and field-related training programs for field operators at the Neste Singapore Refinery for PTU/WWT production line. The role ensures frontline workforce competence and operational readiness through high-impact, hands-on field-based learning, ultimately supporting safe and reliable operations. The Master Field Trainer translates complex operational knowledge into practical and applicable training content while fostering a culture of operational discipline and continuous improvement. This role also includes assessing trainee progress through Verification of Competence (VOC) assessments, documenting performance outcomes, and developing field-related training materials that accurately reflect actual site practices and standards. In this job you will work closely with Operations Managers, Day SI, Shift Supervisors and Shift Trainers to align workforce needs and training priorities, SMEs to integrate operational learnings into field coaching and training material development, and the CD Team to coordinate the training calendar and License to Operate (L2O) support.

Your role in our team
Training Program Development & Review
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design, develop, or refine both classroom and field-related training materials as part of the Operations Developmental Program.
- Ensure all training content is up to date and aligned with process changes, incident learnings, and technology upgrades to maintain operational relevance and effectiveness.
Operational Training Execution
- Deliver structured field-based training that adheres to operational standards, safety protocols, and procedures. Conduct training sessions covering normal, abnormal, and emergency operating situations to enhance operational skills, reinforce safe behaviours, and strengthen field competence.
Competence Development & Assurance
- Lead the implementation of training and development programs, including the New Process Technician Training Program, BOM, and other competence-related initiatives.
- Develop field training materials and assessment tools to support these programs.
- Identify skill gaps through continuous observation and evaluation, recommend targeted development plans to supervisors, deputy supervisors, and shift trainers, and ensure accurate documentation and administration of individual performance outcomes as part of the competence assurance framework.
Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in PTU/WWT field operator role with strong Operational knowledge of plant operations.
- Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining high standards of quality in training program and assessments.
- Significant experience in delivering training programs, coaching and assessing in field operational setting.
