We are looking for you,
Project Planner/ Senior Project Planner
to our team based in Tuas South Singapore. You will be part of the global project planning group and report to the Project Control line organisation. You will work closely with the colleagues in the investment project delivery, project execution teams and other functions to lead the schedule development and schedule control process for EPC, EPCM and major investment projects.
You will be responsible for construction contractor schedule management, master schedule management and schedule integrations. You will lead the implementation of new developments, tools, systems and improved way of working in your location. Together with your expertise, we can do meaningful work to drive Neste forward.

Your role in our team

Lead and facilitate the planning process, compile basis of schedule of all type of investment projects, communicate the schedule status and provide the analysis to project management and portfolio management

Proactively identify opportunities and lead initiatives to advance our Project Controls maturity through new systems, processes, and technologies.

Drive Implementation: Manage and coordinate project planning development projects, ensuring successful implementation and adoption in close cooperation with Major Investment Projects, Investment Project Portfolios and discipline team leads, as well as the PC team members and Planning team line management.

Lead the implementation of global PC standards and best practices (cost, schedule, change management) to ensure consistency and data integrity.

Capability to work as a planning manager in our Major Investment Projects.

Set up the project and portfolio schedule development and control, as well as progress reporting in all types of projects independently

Calculate the project progress, execute forecasting, review the status with project management and update the schedule for future works

Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

Demonstrated experience (>6 years) within Project Controls disciplines (project planning). Proven competence in managing project planning processes for major capital projects.

Strong focus on future oriented project delivery skills, developing new ways of working and driving project schedule should be in the core

Ability to prepare project schedule of all levels for all phases of investment projects and able to identify bottle necks in the projects analyzing the schedule and advising the project team accordingly

Excellent leadership, communication and inter-personal skills in English (mandatory), other languages are an advantage

Working (Strong) knowledge of scheduling tools is mandatory for this position (i.e. Primavera, MS Project, etc.). Experience in other tools like SAP, Aveva, PowerBi, Safran are seen as an advantage

Turnaround planning and scheduling experience within process industry is also seen as an advantage for this position

Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or similar. Relevant professional certifications (PMP, CCP, etc) are highly desirable.
