We are looking for you,

 

Research Assistant

 

to our Feedstock and Pretreatment team in APAC Innovation Center, Singapore.

 

You will focus on feedstocks and pretreatment research. Perform pretreatment experiments of waste and residue of oils and fats raw materials in collaboration with researchers and other laboratory personnel. Prepare samples and request for further analyses, and report test results. You will participate in laboratory daily maintenance tasks and contribute to the continuous improvement of our laboratory practices and methods.

 

In this job you will work closely with Neste core R&D team in Singapore and Finland as well as with internal stakeholders (refinery, supply chain, projects) and relevant external stakeholders, such as equipment suppliers.

You will report to the R&D Manager, Feedstock and Pretreatment of APAC Innovation Center.

Your role in our team / in creating a sustainable future

 

  • Perform pretreatment experiments of waste and residue raw materials in collaboration with researchers and other laboratory personnel
  • Prepare samples and requests for further analyses, and report test results
  • Participate in laboratory daily maintenance tasks
  • Participate in the continuous development of our laboratory practises and methods

 

Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

 

  • Minimum polytechnic graduate from chemical process technology or other relevant field or bachelor’s degree in chemistry
  • At least 3 years of relevant laboratory work experience
  • Good organising skills and ability to manage several tasks at the same time
  • Active and initiative working style
  • Safety oriented mindset
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Good collaboration skills
