We are looking for you,
Senior Analyzer Engineer
to join our Asset Management team in Singapore Tuas Refinery.
You will focus on providing analyser engineering support to the Neste Singapore Refinery to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Responsibilities include engineering assessments, engineering design, turnaround and maintenance support, root cause analysis and troubleshooting, implementation of corrective solutions, and driving long-term equipment reliability and improvement initiatives. In this job you will work closely with various departments such as Procurement, Technical, HR & CD, HSSEQ, IPEG, Operation, maintenance, M&MA, Global RCC, and the Asset Development team.
In our team, you will deliver safe, efficient, quality and timely Maintenance & Turnaround performance and reliable asset lifecycle by using right engineering standards & practices, robust work processes with competent and motivated people to maximise mechanical availability of our assets. Your role in our team
● Reliability & Availability
- Lead & ensure reliability and availability of Analyzer Systems…
● TA Execution & Technical Support
- Lead complex analyser troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and reliability improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, increase plant availability, and improve maintenance effectiveness.
- Support preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities, including calibration, loop checking, fault diagnosis, and coordination with vendors for analyser-related equipment. Implement Management of Change (MOC) and site modification activities as required.
● Continuous Improvement
- Manage bad actor, Analyzer Projects and Lifecycle Activities
- Support and execute analyser-related projects, including management of change (MOC) activities, system upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management, while ensuring compliance with technical standards and engineering best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians. Coordinate with operations, maintenance, vendors, and regional/global technical teams to ensure effective issue resolution and solution implementation.
Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role
● Bachelor’s degree in electrical / Instrumentation / Chemical Engineering (preferred)
● Professional certifications (advantage): ISA, maintenance/reliability training, vendor training
● Experience, Minimum 10+ years of relevant analyser / instrumentation experience.
● Prior Experience in Projects and Turnaround execution
● Knowledgeable with international standards, petroleum /petrochemical plant materials and equipment
● Experienced in maintenance work control, planning, reliability methodologies
● Good communication, CMMS system and strategic thinking

● Advanced knowledge of process analyser technologies and sampling systems design
● A solid knowledge of process plant technologies entails understanding the design, operation, and optimization of industrial facilities that convert raw materials into valuable products
● Good understanding of DCS/SIS integration and control philosophy impact
● Reliability engineering basics (RCA, failure modes, maintenance optimization)
● Ability to manage MOC, upgrades, and lifecycle issues
● Strong understanding of plant operational constraints
● In-depth knowledge of sample conditioning system design and components.
● Strong understanding of analytical method development and validation.
● Proficiency with industrial control systems and communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, HART, Profibus, OPC).
● Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and electrical schematics.
● Experience with specific technologies such as Siemens Maxum II, ABB Analysers, Yokogawa , Emerson GCs, or similar industry software.
● Knowledge of ISA84/SIL, ATEX/Directives, and safety standards.
● Proven experience with a variety of process analysers, including:
○ Gas Chromatographs (GC)
○ Liquid Chromatography (HPLC, IC)
○ Spectrophotometers (IR, UV-Vis, NIR, Laser)
○ pH, Conductivity, TOC, Dissolved Oxygen sensors
○ Moisture Analysers
○ CEMS (Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems)
