We are looking for a TA QA/QC Specialist to join our Turnaround team in Neste Singapore.

In this role, your main responsibilities include
- Assist TA Quality lead to review and approve contractors’ quality plans and resourcing to ensure meeting requirements and in compliance with turnaround inspection and quality plans.
- Participate in reviews for scope, work packs, schedule and handover planning.
- Provide inspection and QA/QC inputs to scope collections, work packs preparation, scheduling, discovery / troubleshooting to ensure all inspections and QA/QC activities are adequately addressed.
- Compile QA/QC basic list / checklist / inspection sheet/forms required for each individual work pack and follow up with Job Pack Leads and contractors on the completed forms to be uploaded.
- Monitor work completion progress per work pack (and/or work order completion status) and report to Quality Lead on the handover readiness for PSSR.
- Support Quality Lead in the preparation of PSSR (status of scope items, punch reports, etc.)
- Help organise and participate in TA quality walks. Record daily quality observations and assist TA Quality Lead with analysis of data.
- Record and track NCR related to quality and follow up with the action item with respective discipline or planner and ensure the NCR is closed.
- Ensure all requirements in Flange Management according to the procedure and quality plans are implemented and complied with during turnaround execution. Ensure all flange management personnel and resources are trained and certified, equipment and tools are calibrated.
- Monitor contractors work progress on Flange Management, QC fail and re-work. Perform random checks at site on Flange Management activity based on criticality and for QC failed flanges.
The TA QA/QC Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the execution of Turnaround/Shutdown work at site meets the compliance requirements of safety and quality as per planned. The TA QA/QC Specialist is to support the implementation of procedures during execution in order to achieve TA objectives and goals.
Keys to success in this role
The best combination of experiences, skills and background is
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
- At least 5 years relevant experience in refinery and petrochemical.
- Strong in process plant inspection techniques, requirements and knowledge of international codes and standards – API / ASME requirements, ASNT specifications, WPS/PQR and welders’ qualification, etc.
- Familiarity with NDE and welding methods.
- Experience with flange management, inspection and assembly.
- A good team player, builds effective cooperation and trustful culture, and seeks all collaboration opportunities.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and ability to make timely decisions through good analytical process & problem solving.
