We are looking for you,

Technical Manager

to our Neste Singapore Refinery team in Tuas South.

You will focus on leading and developing a team of Engineers, staff, and Technicians to provide comprehensive support to the Refinery, covering process engineering and controls, asset development, and product quality. The primary goal is to ensure safety, productivity, cost-effectiveness, and output while ensuring sustainability and compliance with all mandates. The position requires close collaboration with other refinery departments, the technology office, external stakeholders, and the Investment Project Governance team for operational excellence and successful project delivery.

Your role in our team / in creating a sustainable future

  • Overall management of the people related issues in the department including acquisition of resources and talent into the team and the development of a highly professional, capable and motivated team
  • Leads Management of Change for facility, process, and technology.
  • Improves refinery performance,  availability and reliability through troubleshooting and concept development.
  • Enhances Singapore Refinery energy efficiency by setting targets and identifying opportunities.
  • Manages investment process: procedures, planning, reporting, forecasting.
  • Responsible for investment project lifecycle until transfer to Operations and Maintenance for commissioning and start-up.
  • Ensures technical procedures, documentation, and specifications are in place.
  • Supports Operations in process troubleshooting and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure that Technical operations are aligned to the overall mission, vision and values of the business.


Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience of process plant operations, maintenance, development or engineering with at least 5 years managerial experience

  • Bachelor Degree or higher technical education, preferably in process engineering

  • Strong people leadership capabilities and commitment to continuous improvement

  • Co-operation and influencing skills to enable successful working with multiple stakeholders during different phases of the project

  • Innovative mindset to approach challenges from different angles and being creative in coming up with solutions

  • Strong planning and organizing skills and result oriented mindset to plan and meet the project targets

  • Responsible attitude and safety-oriented mindset
