We are looking for you,

Trainee Technician

to our Refinery Operations Shift Team in Neste Tuas, Singapore. 

Selected applicants will undergo a comprehensive classroom and practical training programme for a fixed term contract of 12 months to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a Trainee Technician in the Neste Singapore refinery.

Upon successful completion and passing of the training programme, you will be appointed as a permanent Trainee Technician to perform safe and reliable operation of the refinery. Those with good performance can look forward to a rewarding career with Neste.

Your role in our team

  • Comply to Life Saving Rules and apply Process Safety Fundamentals critical process.

  • Undertake the competency development program of the assigned field area to perform routine tasks under the guidance of a competent senior or peer.

  • Proactively seek for support from more experienced team members to drive their own learning.

  • Able to perform routine tasks independently after completion of the competency development program in the assigned field area.

  • Able to understand and apply Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) and prepare blinding plan for single equipment.

 


Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

  • Graduates from Nitec / Diploma from any engineering discipline.

  • Male applicants must have completed National Service. 

  • Must not have worked in oil & gas or petrochemical industries within the last two years in order to qualify for this traineeship.

  • Able to commit to a 1 year training program, consisting of classroom and on-the-job training.

  • Willing to work 12 hrs rotating shift and comfortable working in an outdoor environment.

  • Able to collaborate and communicate clearly and effectively within the operations team.

  • Proactive learning, responsible, and positive attitude.

  • Safety-oriented mindset.
