We are looking for you,

Vice President, Renewable Refining Singapore

to our Singapore Renewable Refining team in Neste Singapore Tuas Refinery.

You will focus on leading the expanded and complex Singapore Renewables Refinery targeting to deliver given objectives. These objectives include safe, reliable and profitable operation. In this job you will work closely with internal stakeholders and in addition with auditors, country / local authorities, contractors, partners, and customers. 

The refinery, set up in Tuas in 2010, enables seamless transportation of raw materials and renewable products globally.. Singapore refinery produces renewable diesel and renewable feedstock for polymers and chemicals, and sustainable aviation fuel. The refinery has additional capabilities to process more challenging wastes and residue raw materials and will have its own hydrogen production unit.  Singapore refinery is the world’s biggest renewable diesel refinery, as well as the world's largest producer of sustainable aviation fuel, in terms of capacity.

Your role in our team

  • Lead the refinery operations to ensure safe, reliable, and profitable operations while maintaining full compliance with global and local regulatory requirements.

  • Lead the site leadership team and broader organization to foster an inclusive, high-engagement culture that drives talent development, succession planning, and upskilling in renewable technologies.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in refinery profitability, safety and operational excellence

  • Lead and improve asset utilization and reliability to consistently elevate refinery performance and deliver a positive impact on the bottom line.

  • Oversee the refinery’s P&L and cost-efficiency initiatives, leveraging rigorous performance management and clear KPIs to meet financial and operational objectives.

  • Serve as the primary ambassador for the refinery, managing relationships with local authorities, auditors, contractors and industrial partners.

 

 

Key requirements to success in this role 

 

  • Masters / Bachelor Degree in appropriate engineering field, from an accredited college/university

  • More than 15 years’ relevant experience in oil refinery, petrochemicals or chemical processing out of which minimum of 10 years’ experience in mid or senior level management

  • Hands on senior leadership experience from processing oils and fats to renewable fuels,  having a deep technical grasp of the specific success factors and challenges inherent in this technology.

  • Demonstrated success of leading and developing a high performing leadership team and multidisciplinary local production organization  

  • Proven track record of building site-wide refining capabilities, safety, excellence and driving performance management, accountability, and employee engagement

  • Demonstrated success in maintaining full operational transparency with management through timely escalations, progress updates, and consistent information sharing.
