We are looking for an Operations Engineer to join our team in Sluiskil (the Netherlands).

More about the job

 

Your core activities will be:

  • Optimizing, monitoring and troubleshooting plant operations and providing support for operations and other departments
  • Liasing with Technology office on implementing new technologies and with the supply organisation on feasibility studies of processing new feedstocks
  • Efficient handling of process-upsets
  • Developing process equipment and process availability
  • Working as team leader in different projects
  • Training of operating personnel and assisting in making training material
  • Assist in making operating manuals and procedures
  • Arranging testing and implementation of process systems and equipment
  • Working as a team member in shutdown and maintenance planning
  • Participating in making the safety culture of the Sluiskil plant
  • Lead and/or participate in risk assessments

 

Keys to success in this role

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is:

  • University degree in Chemical or Process Engineering 
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years working experience - in chemical plant or vegetable oil refinery
  • Flexible, analytical, stress resistant
  • Proactive searching improvements in all areas
  • High safety and quality awareness
  • Good social and team skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology
